My name is Marc White and I am a web designer/front-end developer residing in Salt Lake City, Utah. Between approximately 225 - 64 million years ago, this Uinta Basin in which I now reside was covered by water and inhabited by dinosaurs. And well, you know how that story goes... But now, here I exist. I have always had a passion for art, language and delicious food. I love to solve problems and communicate in a creative manner. I am passionate about typography, film, literature, web technologies and communication of any form. And Basically my goal is to continue learning as much as I can.

I love to use typography, imagery and illustration to create effective pieces that communicate a message in a clear manner.
Although my skills behind a monitor are awesome, I know that it takes more than that to succeed in life's grand scheme. I have a diverse background and love to socialize!

Developed the White template for a the SquareHook CMS tool. The site is responsive, clean, easy to customize and has been used to create multiple client sites.

This is a poster I designed for the SLCC 2013 Student Art Show. I wanted to recreate the look and feel of the New York Subway signage for this piece.
This poster was created for the SLCC 2014 Student Art Show. I aimed to create a clipping mask using the typography to give it a psychadelic, rock poster vibe. I also played with the typography and incorporated some graphical elements in place of letters.
This was a school project that deals with branding and identity. I created the logo, color palette, bussiness cards, letterhead, kit cover, brochure and more to create an overall brand identity.
The poster is a layout I created based on Ernest Hemmingway's "The Sun Also Rises". I used illustration and imagery to convey the theme of the novel.

This layout was created for an article I wrote on Charlie Chaplin in his film: "The Great Dictator". The film ascted as a social commentary on Hitler and Naziism. I played with graphical elements of this genre to create the layout.
I designed this banner for a women's boutique clothing store. I designed the logo, business cards, and social media attributes for the client.
I created this Illustration using Photoshop and Corel Paint for a contest held by Neil Gaiman. The contest was for the book "A Calendar of Tales" he wrote based on fan submissions. The illustration was accepted to accompany the short story for the month of April in the published e-book.

This was an experiement I created using typography and Adobe Illustrator. I was influenced by a friend of mine who is a sign painter that loves the type style found on old ice machines.
